VOYAGES 2020/21

Northwest passage

––––– This is the extreme Arctic – a landscape of glaciers, mountains and vast plains, of polar bears that hunt on the sea ice, and of the Inuit people for whom this has always been home. It is not so much what you see, but what you feel when you are exploring the edge of sea ice. It can literally change your perspective on the world.

Norwegian explorer Roald Amundsen was the first to cross the Northwest Passage by ship, and it took him three years to make it, from 1903-1906 aboard a wooden craft. Our journey is aboard a cutting-edge hybrid powered expedition ship that offers premium comfort. Despite the difference in technology, we sail with the same spirit of exploration and respect for nature as the early explorers. Roald Amundsen conquered the Passage in the past. Now it’s your turn.

Note: These maps and cruise highlights describe our planned journey, weather and ice conditions will alter our final itinerary.
