I mean seriously, how could you forget it with all the loud firecrackers and bangs that generally start a week before and end when the last firework has been sold, usually way past the 5th Don't get me wrong, I love fireworks and am usually front and centre of displays oohing and ahhhing at the colours! I love wrapping up warm and sipping on hot chocolate – laced with Baileys (other brands available) – and ducking and weaving past children carrying sparklers.

This month we caught up with Westlife, those adorable Irish boys who split six years ago after what was a staggeringly successful career and, on their 20th anniversary of forming the band, they're back with new music and most likely more stylish moves around those high stools they were so famous for using on stage! They joke about needing Ed Sheeran to be relevant in 2018, the fact of the matter is Westlife are good – with or without Ed's help – in fact Kian asked his wife if they were ever as big as One Direction were and the resounding answer was, “Yes!” Read the interview and ogle at the pictures – if you're anything like me!
The countdown to Christmas has well and truly begun – it started many months ago in retail, but one super village in the Cotswolds are putting the heart back into the festive season with its annual 'Good- will' event. How fabulous is that? An evening full of fun, but dedicated to helping others – I just love it!
Your local Cavendish House in Cheltenham, that boasts the most delightful staff, has a new rival in town – John Lewis. It adds to the shopping experience, but don't forget the fabulous independents and of course Cavendish House, who have been serving you for years now! I love to see new additions to any area, but I never like to forget the faithfuls!
