The Andoversford team that
reached the 2018 Junior Charities
51 teams kicked off the 2018/19 Cheltenham League campaign, sponsored by Bristol Street Motors Cheltenham Ford, spurred on by a World Cup tournament that had reignited the Country’s love of the game.
With teams competing in a plethora of league and cup competitions throughout the season, there is plenty to keep the players, managers and fans interested right through to May.Andoversford finished runners-up in Division 1 last term and were hoping to go one better this year. They started their campaign strongly, winning three and drawing one of their opening four matches, bagging 22 goals in the process.
The early table also had Bishops Cleeve and Tewkesbury Town well placed while Kev Taylor will be hoping his switch from managing Whaddon United Reserves to Shurdington Rovers will see him competing for honours.
Division 2 promises to be one of the most intriguing divisions as St Pauls and AFC Renegades continue their rivalry at the next level.
