Ukrop’s Homestyle Foods Recalls Meat And Poultry Products
Products Recalled Due To Possible Listeria Contamination

Fried Quinoa Yield 4 servings Ingredients
1 cup uncooked quinoa (or 3 cups of plain, left over cooked quinoa) 1 tablespoon oil (any) 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger 1 cloves garlic, finely chopped (or 1 tsp minced garlic) 1 cup diced carrots ½ cup snow peas 1 cup baby bok choy 2 cups kale (stems removed, and torn into small pieces) ¼ cup minced fresh chives 2 large eggs (or ½ cup egg substitute) 2 tablespoons reduced-sodium soy sauce
Instructions
1. In a medium saucepan, cook the quinoa according to the package directions.
2. Once the quinoa is done, place it into the refrigerator to cool to room temperature.
3. While the quinoa is cooling, in a large sauté pan or wok over moderately high heat, warm the oil. Add the ginger and garlic and sauté, stirring, for 1 minute.
4. Add the carrots, snow peas, bok choy, kale, and chives and continue cooking, stirring occasionally, until tender, about 5 minutes.
5. Add the cooked quinoa and stir. Add the eggs and continue to cook, stirring, until scrambled, about 3 minutes.

approximately 18,296 pounds of ready-to-eat meat and poultry deli-sliced be
adulterated monocytogenes,
products that may with
the U.S.
Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today.
The ready-to-eat meat and
poultry deli-sliced products items were produced
from Sept. 14, 2018 through Oct. 3, 2018. To view the list of the recalled products, click here.
The products subject to
recall bear establishment number “EST.19979” inside the USDA mark of inspection. These items were shipped to retail locations in Kentucky, Ohio,
Tennessee,
Virginia, and West Virginia. The problem was discovered
on Oct. 4, 2018, when FSIS received notification from the establishment that they had received and processed products implicated in FSIS Recall 084-2018.
There have been no confirmed
reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products. Anyone concerned about an injury or illness should contact a healthcare provider.

Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them. These products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.
FSIS routinely conducts
recall effectiveness checks to verify recalling firms notify their customers of the recall and that steps are taken to make certain that the product is no longer available to consumers. When available, the retail distribution list(s) will be posted on the FSIS website at
www.fsis.usda.gov/recalls.
