Hawkinge SpitfireS Club The club is for the over 50's and we meet once a month on the second Wednesday in Hawkinge Village Hall. We have a variety of interesting speakers, music afternoons and outings during the year. Visitors are welcome and the cost is £3.00 including tea and biscuits. For further information about the club please call 01303 489137. The next meeting is on wednesday 10th October 2018 in Hawkinge Village Hall at 2.30pm. The guest is Geoff Stephens a very popular Singer and Guitarist.

In November we will be working on our entry to the Brighton exhibition so no formal meeting BUT we are having our annual Christmas event . This will be on Saturday 24th November 9.30am until 12 noon and will be a Christmas Coffee morning at St Andrews hall. All sorts of wonderful homemade goodies including cakes ,sweets, savouries ,jams and plenty of tea and coffee. Free entry so come along and join us..

Starring Gary Oldman, Lily James and Kristin Scott Thomas During World War II, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Neville Chamberlain, is forced to resign, recommending Winston Churchill as his replacement. Churchill is under pressure to commence peace negotiations with the German dictator or to fight the seemingly invincible Nazi regime. However difficult and dangerous his decision may be Churchill has no choice but to shine in the country’s darkest hour.
