Over 800,000 women in the UK are classed as Mumpreneurs, starting businesses to have flexible working hours, and contributing over £7bn a year to the UK economy. For many, the demands can be high, resulting in a constant guilt trip – either not being there for the children after all, or not delivering the business service you feel you should. A one man band in 1992, it’s now worth around £15.5m employing nearly 800 people. Think about it. Being a mum means being a great multi-tasker, delegator, forward thinker and planner. The most successful business people are great multi-taskers, delegators, forward thinkers and planners. Look at that. The same qualities. Who would have expected that?! You might not have ambitions to grow another Jo Jo Maman Bébé (yet!), but how would it feel to have a business that let you and your family live exactly the life you want?
