White Cliffs Walking Festival
Thursday 23rd to Wednesday 29th August Over the Bank Holiday Weekend
Walks for all abilities: FamilyWalks,HistoricalWalks,WildlifeWalks, SmugglersWalks, Challenging Walks, ArchitecturalWalks and CoastalWalks.
The festival, organised by the localWhite Cliffs Ramblers group, is now in its fifth anniversary year and is the walking event of the year for the South East of England. Last year the event attracted over 1250 walkers visiting this historical area from the UK and abroad.
Centred on the historic towns of Dover, Deal and Sandwich, this week-long festival features over 40 walks ranging in length from 1 to 52miles.Whatever your walking ability or interest there are walks that will tempt you to discover our beautiful coast and nearby countryside. You can take the children and join the smugglers walks or immerse yourself walking among the fascinating military fortifications or take in the delightful coastal views.
Although walks are free, a voluntary contribution is always appreciated.A few of the special guided walks cost amodest amount.

Pilgrims Hospices is a charity which helps people facing incurable illness to live well in every moment, offering care and support for people where and when it's needed. To do so they need to raise £11million per year from voluntary donations.
Pilgrims Hospice Ashford is holding a fabulous Summer Garden Party in the grounds of the hospice on
