If you’ve been in business for more than 150 years, experience tells you to adapt and certainly don’t stand still. Established in 1862, Curr & Dewar Auctioneers has carried this thinking into the fourth generation of family ownership. Under the direction of Steven Dewar, Auctioneer & Valuer, Curr & Dewar have recently moved to more modern and spacious premises.

Having traded successfully from their North Isla Street premises for the past 14 years, Steven felt the way forward for the longevity of the business was to seek more modern premises, with increased selling space and improved accessibility for customers.

The new premises on Tom Johnston Road (behind Allardyce Healthcare) is more modern and spacious, with more of a showroom feel, allowing the display of vendors items to greater advantage, and with more natural light, enabling purchasers to view

items to equal advantage.

As well as more space and light, customers will benefit from improved access and parking and longer opening times which have been altered to provide more opportunity for pre-sale viewing.

In addition to it’s established hours the saleroom will now be open for viewing on a Saturday morning between 10am and 1pm. What remains unchanged, however, is the pride the business takes in it’s long established reputation providing a range of professional services to clients for over 150 years in Dundee and the surrounding area.

The next auction in the new premises is on Tuesday 12th June at 10am. Viewing takes place on Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 1pm and on Monday from 9am to 5pm. Further details are available at www.curranddewar.com
