I have to start by saying huge congratulations to the Cheltenham Jazz Festival team for what was the best year yet! I was privileged enough to have tickets to see Randy Crawford in the Big Top. Wow! Stunning acoustics and a superb setting were the perfect partners to her incredible voice. The atmosphere throughout the festival was contagious. I can’t wait for next year; they’ve already announced plans to up the stakes even further…
For this issue I chatted to the Super Vet, Noel Fitzpatrick. His Irish lilt, his passion for animals and his work…yes I enjoyed my interview greatly, I hope you enjoy reading it…
June is always a little crazy for the Live 24-Seven team, as it’s when we host our sell-out Ladies Day in conjunction with Dallas Burston Polo Club in Warwickshire. It’s our eighth year now and the event gets bigger and better every year; it’s the largest Ladies Day event in the Midlands, I’m delighted to say.

A stylish affair set against the backdrop of some impressive polo and great entertainment, we have a Best Dressed Lady and Best Hat competition – and believe me the competition is fierce, with some pretty impressive head gear! We also use the opportunity of this glamorous event to raise money for charity and this year monies from the auction will be split between The Prince’s Trust and The UK Sepsis Trust, two very worthy causes. As per every year, my hat is always left to the last minute. Last year my guests were sitting in a minibus on my driveway as I waited for the courier who I was guiding in by phone to drop the box so I could run! I’m always too busy with final touches to think about my outfit – this year is heading in the same direction.
We’ll share pictures of the event with you in the July magazine, but now enjoying reading the June issue.
