ELMA SOLVEX RM ATEX certification (ATmosphere EXplosibles):


The ATEX directive describes what equipment can and cannot be used in an environment with an explosive atmosphere (i.e. working with cleaning solutions that give off fumes).


Cleaning solutions have flash points (ignition points), the lower the flashpoint, the easier it is to catch fire (it is easier for something with a flashpoint of 15°C to catch fire than it is for something with a 25°C flashpoint).


The Elma Solvex VA is certified to be used with any solution that has a flashpoint of 12°C & above, the Elma Solvex RM & SE for any solution that has a flashpoint of 23°C plus.
