Hawkinge SpitfireS Club This club is for the over 50's and we meet once a month on the second Wednesday in Hawkinge Village Hall. We have a variety of interesting speakers, music afternoons and outings during the year. Visitors are welcome and the cost is £3.00 including tea and biscuits. the folkestone branch of the british Sugarcraft guild .... invite you to join us at St Andrews Hall, Surrenden Road, Cheriton. We meet on the first Saturday of each month 1.30pm until 4pm. Come along and see what we do with all forms of sugar and all methods of working with it old and new. Learn from trained demonstrators,join in workshops and talk to our members who are beginners through to old hands. They would be pleased to share their knowledge. This month we have a workshop with Justine Talbot showing us a Royal Iced Tiara. In July it will be Sally Brown demonstrating a beautiful Ghost Orchid. So come along we look forward to meeting you.
SHOw SOngS & Supper Back by popular demand we have booked professional young singers Victoria Stanyon and Joe Morgan to perform Show Songs on Saturday 23rd June at 7.30pm at Elham Village Hall. Both have recently returned from a production of Carmen in Europe. For our Elham concert they will be accompanied by Dale Wills. tHe fOlkeStOne natiOnal COaStwatCH aSSOCiatiOn are celebrating 20 years of operation at Copt Point on the East Cliff. We are a Voluntary Charity that provides “EYES ALONG THE COAST” 364 days of the year. This year three watchkeepers will be presented with their 20 years service medals in honour of their dedication and commitment to the NCI. On Sun 22nd July between 11am and 4pm we will be having an open day at the watch Station and Invite you to come along meet the watchkeepers who will only be too happy to show you what we do. Please come along and help us celebrate our 20th anniversary. Refreshment are available for a small donation. Family and Dogs welcome.
