Woodbridge Museum Afternoon Talks


THEapril talk for the Friends of Woodbridge Museum was on “The Medieval Port of Gosford” given by Peter Wain. Little is known of the port which was situated somewhere in the Bawdsey area. Peter led us


through his detailed research which brought the port back into existence for us. Not only was the talk of historical interest but also showed people how fasci- nating the process of historical research can be.

Ufford Park’s Donate Whilst You Stay Campaign raises over £2000 for local charities!


uFFORD Park Woodbridge Hotel, Golf and Spa is de- lighted to announce that it has raised £2,100 as part of its Donate Whilst You Stay cam- paign. The Donate Whilst You Stay campaign has been imple- mented with great success by the hotel for the last ten years. Guests are encouraged to add a £1 donation to their bill upon check out and the money raised is evenly distributed to the ho- tel’s three chosen charities; East anglian air ambulance, St Elizabeth’s Hospice and age uK. ufford Park added a small donation to the total amount raised and each charity was pre- sented with a cheque for £700 on Tuesday 24th april. pire 1956-58, then light aircraft in Central and Eastafrica in the ‘60’s. He taught aerobatics and competed at intermediate Level in Stampe. He was employed by Singer Link-Miles in flight sim- ulation and was Expedition Sec- retary for Sir Ranulph Fiennes’s Transglobe Expedition from 1977-83. in 1994 he became General Manager of the Popular Flying association, today instructing on micro.
