Being outdoors and exploring nature is a great way for children to have fun and learn whilst keeping them active. You don’t need to go far to get close to wildlife. The Tees Valley Wildlife Trust has fourteen nature reserves covering more than 230 hectares of land. These are managed as safe havens


for wildlife and can be visited free of charge. This summer we have stacks of family friendly wildlife events, from rock pooling to mini beast safaris, evening bat walks to wild arts and crafts activities. These are a great fun way for the whole family to learn about wildlife. We also have a fabulous family membership scheme where children can become Wildlife Watchers. You’ll receive a starter pack containing a folder, 60 page colour booklet, badge, large wildlife poster as well as all the information about our nature reserves, local events and activities

Get back to nature in the North York Moors


Find out all about our wildlife at the Moors National Park Centre this May, with nature and wildlife- themed crafts, trails and treasure hunts.
