When He gave us the Bible, God stressed the need for education and growth. The Bible is much more than a book: It is a guide to understanding the Lord, His plan for salvation, ourselves and the world around us. The more we glean from studying God’s Word, the more we are able to share His grace and love with others. This month we are asking you to help poor children find grace, acceptance and knowledge through an amazing school that is reaching those the world has forgotten.


Triumphant Grace Academy (TGA) opened it doors on January 5, 2015, with 42 children in Early Childhood Development classes. In response to the needs and desires of the community, the school has since added 1st


and 2nd grade classes.

TGA is located in Manyatta, an area on the west side of Kenya and north of the port city of Kisumu. In this region, about 95% of the population lives in abject poverty and hunger is a constant companion. It is no surprise the families of Manyatta cannot afford to pay for public school.

Previously, the only educational option in Manyatta for the children drowning in poverty was a single Muslim school, which indoctrinated each child in the Koran and Islamic culture. But thanks be to God, now there is Triumphant Grace Academy!


TGA’s goal is to intentionally love and nurture children who would be lost in a vicious cycle of poverty without education. The school’s staff sees teaching as more than an occupation; they view the classroom as their calling where they faithfully serve the Lord. They teach to impact young lives in mind, body and spirit.


For many TGA students struggling with constant lack, the support and food they so desperately need can only be found at the school. Some of the school’s children are Muslim but attend TGA because of the quality education and the love shown by Christians. In other words, this is a place of not just growth, but of acceptance, hope and light.
