Spring Fair 2018 is hosting an enormous cross-section of suppliers that specialise in the market and volume sectors – from houseware to consumer electronics, toiletries and cosmetics to pound lines. The smorgasbord of


inspiration is taking place this month across 14 halls at the NEC, which is directly connected to Birmingham International Airport and rail station, presenting an exciting edit of trend-setting brands from around the globe, many of which are exclusive to the Spring Fair. Show visitors can expect to find everything from contemporary gif ts and children’s toys, to DIY, hardware, kitchenware, furni ture and fashion accessories. Key exhibitors in the Volume


Gift & Home sector include: PMS International – a leading impor ter and wholesale distributor of a wide range of consumer products; ranging from housewares, toys and games to novelties, stationery and Christmas decorations; Benross Marketing – which boasts 2000 high-quality products ranging f rom gadgets, homeware, garden, furniture, electrical, tools and more. It also holds a huge number of exclusive licenses; RKW – the leading European electricals and housewares owner and distributor, whose portfolio of brands includes Carmen, Pifco and Tower. It also stocks and distributes Tefal, Russel Hobbs, Vax and Panasonic; Ultimate Products – a company recognised for its ability to design, source, develop and supply branded products to major retailers worldwide. Trader benefits


In addition to exposure to the latest product launches and trend insights that will keep traders on the front foot with consumer demand, the 2018 show will see the launch of the new ‘Spring Fair Voucher’ initiative to benefit buyers on the hunt for new suppliers. Retailers will be able to get £100 off an order of £500 or more when they open an account with a new supplier at the show. The voucher can be used with up to 10 participating exhibitors and is only valid at Spring Fair 2018, thus offering a potential saving of £1,000.


The Atelier – ultimate inspiration


Traders want ing ex t ra inspiration can pay a visit to The Atelier – a new concept, interactive feature that frames the future for Spring Fair visitors. Big screen videos will showcase what’s new, what’s big right now and what will be big in 2019 and 2020 – and crucially, how to make it work for their businesses. The series of exclusive-


content films will touch on topics such as new product categories, colour trends for next year and beyond. The insightful films will be brought to life using four, stunning walk-in installations using real store interiors, product displays and décor curated by exper t visual merchandisers. These sets will detail the current and future trends to show visitors how to make the most of the prof i t oppor tuni t ies based on exclusive insights from industry-leading trend forecasters and platforms WGSN, Pinterest, One Click Retail and Coloro.

Inside Retail Hub, the hugely popular Meet The Expert sessions will give market traders the chance to discuss business matters on a one- to-one basis, with some of the industry’s foremost experts. Visitors will be able to book


slots that cover five vitally important aspects of running a modern day store – visual merchandising; e-com- merce; digital marketing; buying and merchandising; and implementing EPoS and other retail systems. An additional session will also be available during which experts will conduct a busi- ness health check. The feature has grown


from strength to strength in recent years and is regularly cited by traders and retailers


as being a fantastic support platform. The programme for 2018 will be the largest yet and visitors will be able to book sessions via the Spring Fair website from January, when the line-up of experts is unveiled. Nick Davison, port folio

showcase a plethora of inspiring, deco fashion, on-trend homeware items including textiles, furniture, in te r ior a nd ou tdoor accessories, as well as soft furnishings. More than 150 leading


housewares brands from around the world will show the latest drinkware and acces sor ies, such as


reusable water bot t les, offering a range of innovative functions and designs. The popular Housewares


LIVE demonstration area is back, located in Hall 9 within the Kitchen, Dining & Housewares sector, with an exci t ing schedule of not-to-be-missed product showcases and tast ing experiences. Kicking it all of f will be actor, director, producer and writer Ryan Philpott, who will be hosting the events at Housewares LIVE, making sure that the audience gets involved as much as possible throughout the course of the four days. Kitchen hardware exper t Malcolm Harradine will be joined by celebrity chefs Jeremy Pang and Ken Hom to showcase a selection of the best products and innovations to use in the kitchen, while The Wine Show’s Joe Fat torini will also explain how retailers can introduce memorable
