Hawkinge SpitfireS Club This club is for the over 50's and we meet once a month on the second Wednesday in Hawkinge Village Hall. We have a variety of interesting speakers, music afternoons and outings during the year. Visitors are welcome and the cost is £3.00 including tea and biscuits. The next meeting is on Wednesday 14th February 2018 in Hawkinge Village Hall at 2.30pm. This is our Annual General Meeting followed by a Beetle Drive. SpeeDwatCH Swingfield, Densole and Hawkinge Speedwatch group are looking for volunteers to join them in their effort to promote safety and safe driving on our roads. Members of the group are asked to give 2 hours a week to be in street places allocated by the Police to show drivers if they are speeding above the recommended speed limit as allocated by law. We do not make prosecutions that is down to the Police. What we do is to try and make our roads safer for all to use. The service is regulated by the Police all mem- bers are trained to a proficient standard. Volunteers must be 18 years of age, they can be male or female.
