Recent figures show a total of 235 notices issued by HSE inspectors in the Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing sector. 177 improvement notices and 58 prohibition notices.


There were 35 prosecution cases of which 32 resulted in a guilty verdict for at least one offence.


The resulting fines from these prosecutions averaged over £25,000 per fine
