SKI RESORTS Courchevel (Alps) A magnet for skiers and the wealthy, Courchevel promises a sophisticated winter escape. Part of the 3 Vallées – the largest connected ski area in the world – it’s prized for its diverse slopes spanning 150km and catering to a range of abilities. Beginners can practise in the ‘ZEN’ zones, while 19 green and 35 blue runs ease learners into the descent. For those in the intermediate camp, there are 34 red and eight black runs to tackle, all of which are groomed every night. There is also a total of 58 lifts serving the resort, taking the stress out of travelling between ski areas.


Courchevel is more than just a hotbed for winter sports, however, having earned an equally strong reputation as a
