Looking After Others In The Sun
We’ve talked about how important it is to keep ourselves safe in the sun but we have to remember to look after others too.
This is because, if we are feeling thirsty, we can simply ask our parents or teacher for a drink however, the wildlife in our gardens and playgrounds are not able to do this. Wildlife such as birds, bees and hedgehogs have to search for their water.
That’s why its important that we also think of others and leave water out for the animals such as bird baths for birds to drink from and bowls on the floor for cats, hedgehogs and foxes.
If you are growing plants or vegetables at home or at school then you will also need to water them more regularly than usual on hot, sunny days.
What can you do to help the wildlife where you live keep hydrated? List your ideas below.
