Personal Discovery Awaits at the Body Mind Spirit Expo
T
he Body Mind Spirit Expo returns to the Palmer Events Center, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., July 15, and 11 a.m. to
6 p.m., July 16. The event is dedicated to help people discover the radiant life that surrounds us at every mo- ment. This year’s event promises a weekend filled with the finest presentations, exhibitors and entertainment; each is intentioned to help people grow personally and discover a realm of wellness possibilities. Attendees can interact with a wide range of ex- hibitors offering the latest findings in natural health, personal growth, spirituality and sustainability. Mas- sages, product samples and learning opportunities for better health, personal well-being and spiritual growth await. Over 40 authors and speakers, including Ashtara Sasha White, Rachel Kirkland, Paul Hubbert and Clinton Peirce, will give presentations on a variety of wellness topics. Austin Celebrates International Day of Yoga
T
he Austin chapter of The Art of Living will present the third annual International Day of Yoga. The 2017 event takes place from 6 to 8 p.m., June 17 at the Texas State Capitol and serves as a platform for communities to come to- gether to share, deepen and celebrate the path of yoga, along with parallel celebrations in more than 100 cities across the United States. The United Nations has recognized yoga through the International Day of Yoga, and the Art of Liv- ing volunteers encourage the community to be a part of this global celebration to use yoga as force for peace. Internation- al Day of Yoga is open to people of all ages, backgrounds, and beginners as well as experienced yogis. The Art of Living is a global nonprofit organization with local roots in the community. The group is committed to uplifting youth, families and communities by spreading the universal practice and philosophy of yoga. Fueled by a love of yoga, The Art of Living serves the community by promot- ing yoga as a practice that can create more peace, health and happiness in our everyday lives. The Art of Living strives to create awareness about deeper and holistic aspects of yoga with its different practices like asana, breathing, meditation, soulful music, yoga dance and healthy living. Their vision is that whoever participates in the International Day of Yoga leaves happy and blissful, hav- ing experienced their true inner nature.
