The BH187 unit is a video line corrector and will compensate for signal losses in coaxial cable (unbalanced) enabling high quality pictures to be transmitted over long distances. The unit will equalise the incoming cable losses to a maximum of 35dB at 4.4MHz, increasing to 45dB when used in conjunction with a BH184 Launch Amplifier. Its installer-friendly design has tool-less adjustable Gain, Medium frequency lift, High frequency lift. This stand-alone unit is fully RoHS compliant and also comes complete with 230V plug- top 12V DC power supply.

These are normally seen as a dark bar moving down the monitor picture. Under really bad conditions, this bar can cause distortion to, and rolling of, the picture.
A voltage difference or potential between 2 earth connections causes the problem, for instance the earth at the camera site and the earth at
the monitor location.
Connecting the 2 earths together with a coaxial cable introduces the problem.
The solution is to break the circuit at some point. The ONLY way to do this is to use a Video Isolation Transformer. This breaks the earth loop by interrupting the coax cable screen, but maintains the video circuit path.
