They really don't come any more special than local lass Rosie Weston, the Head Chef, founder and owner of Vine Event Catering and The Vineyard Cafe (which for ten years was based at Sharpham). Taking a well deserved break from the small-but-perfectly-formed foodie treasure that was The Vineyard Cafe, Rosie is now concentrating her efforts on her catering business which brings the food to you… And what food! Rosie swears by what appear to be very obvious guiding principles for a Chef but all too often these get lost amidst the mass- produced and tasteless; the over-complicated and fussy. "Keep it simple; keep it seasonal; keep it sustainable - and keep it local", says Rosie. "Everything is determined by the quality of your

After many enjoyable years spent honing her expertise in the Far East and London, Rosie returned 'home', near to her Berry Pomeroy roots, to take the plunge with what was a highly original concept in 2006 firmly believing that "if the food is good, people will come - even if the kitchen is a small trailer!" Just six years later recognition for that concept and what Rosie and her dedicated team had achieved came when The Vineyard Cafe was named Alfresco Restaurant of the Year for 2012 by The Good Food Guide.
