24 February 2014 – the journey begins
The 73-ton runner is carefully loaded at the Voith Hydro manufacturing factory in
Austria to start its journey to Vienna Airport for its An-124-100 flight to Russia.
As part of Volga-Dnepr’s total logistics solution, it obtained all of the necessary approvals to move the cargo, including gaining permission from the Russian Traffic Police to ship the runner from Bratsk Airport to the power plant by road.
Customs documentation was also managed by Volga-Dnepr as well as the highway convoy on the final leg of the delivery.
