He also said Cummins has already begun

to improve their total cost of ownership for a lighter segment of buses, then this could open the door, if there are limited capital funds for new purchases,” he concluded. In August, Cummins announced that Nissan


will use the ISV5.0 turbo-diesel option in its half-ton Titan truck starting in 2015. Te Dodge Ram 1500 was initially set to use the ISV5.0 turbo, but that was before GM entered bankruptcy in 2009. New parent company Fiat already has its own diesel platform, the 3.0L 630T V6 EcoDiesel, after purchasing engine manufacturer VM Motori last fall. 
