Rossa Jurenas is an award-winning hair and makeup artist, salon owner at Hair by Rossa, a Schwarzkopf educator, platform artist and Essential Looks artist. Not content to rest on her laurels, you’ll find her reaching even further with mentors like Vivienne Mackinder.


The raven’s call was not too far to inspire Rossa’s ravishingly beautiful colour collection. “I was on set at America’s Next Top Model, and came across tribal, raven-like jewelry with feathers and chains by Naanafya, a jewelry designer. I liked the pieces, contacted her and we worked on a shoot together, featuring her pieces,” says Rossa.

the hair with an idea of how each piece of jewelry would look on a certain model, but once we put it together we found that it worked in other ways,” she says.


Feather Fusion “The feathers in the pieces draw out the colour in the hair,” says Rossa. “I used colour blocking and multiple tones; on some models colour was solid at the roots and placed in different areas and faded out in varying intensities. There’s a lot of detail when you look closely at the colour.” S
