SILK WAY RALLY COMMITS TO FIFTH YEAR OF COOPERATION
For the fifth consecutive year, Volga-Dnepr Airlines will organise the air logistics requirements for the 3,000km Silk Way Rally motor race across Russia.
As in previous years, Volga-Dnepr will be responsible for coordination of all flight operations in support of the rally, arranging all flight clearances and the official authorisations needed for the event’s joint flight detachment. This will include flight dispatch, navigation and aeronautical information services for the rally’s air operations, which involves a fleet of six airplanes and seven
helicopters. Aircraft will take off and land at five Russian airports.
The 2013 Silk Way Rally will challenge more than 170 motor car and 70 truck drivers over the 3,000km course, which will begin in Red Square in Moscow and finish next to the famous fort in Astrakhan.

AIRBRIDGECARGO APPOINTS NEW VP, JAPAN AND KOREA
Nagakazu Sagara (right) has joined has joined AirBridgeCargo Airlines as Vice President, Japan and Korea.
This appointment is part of the Group’s succession programme in Japan and Korea. Mr. Katsuhiko Sagami, former Vice President/Area Director Japan & Korea, will continue to work as mentor and coach for the region until the year-end. Volga- Dnepr Group and namely AirBridgeCargo highly appreciate and thank Mr. Sagami for his invaluable contribution to development and strengthening of the company’s business in this region.
Nagakazu Sagara has a 40-year career in the cargo industry, joined Japan Airlines
following his graduation from Kagoshima University. At JAL he built a successful career, progressing from a cargo traffic manager to senior vice president, export. In 2010, Mr. Sagara joined TAS Express, a Toyota affiliate, as executive strategist, and later, following the purchase of the company by Mitsui-Soko Express (MSE) in 2012, became deputy general manager of the latter.
