There is so much debate on what is better for your child. But looking at it from a financial point of view you can save money and provide good healthy food which should include:


starch foods ie bagels, pitta bread. Use brown wholemeal bread not white.

Chop up raw veggies like carrots or peppers. Give them hummus or cottage cheese to dip the veggies in.


Try to avoid sugary bars and keep them as treats instead use fresh fruit, dried fruit.
