New Olympic Park corporation launches


The new London Legacy Development Corporation (LLDC) has opened, taking over responsibility for the regeneration of the Olympic Park and surrounding areas. Created using powers given to the mayor

Colwyn Bay pier funding bid rejected


Conwy County Borough Council’s proposals for the restoration of the Grade II-listed Victoria Pier in Colwyn Bay have been dealt a blow after a funding bid worth £4.9m was rejected. Aſter considering the local


authority’s application for support towards the project, the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) said it was “unable to support” the proposals. Jennifer Stewart, head of
