Distance Learning Tutors Full and Part Time Temporary Opportunities until June 2012

Are you passionate about improving levels of health and fitness within the workplace?


We are looking for enthusiastic and highly organised individuals to act as personal tutors to students on our Get Fit for Life workplace wellness distance learning programme. These posts will involve both computer based support as well as delivering some practical and lecture sessions on exercise and health to learners within the workplace.


A level 3 professional qualification (or working towards this) in a relevant subject area is essential, along with some previous experience of delivering health and fitness sessions. Hours of work can be very flexible to fit around other commitments.

SPORTS AND LEISURE FACILITIES MANAGER


Stamford Endowed Schools require an experienced and commercially focused manager to develop the business and educational use of the three schools’ sports and leisure facilities including the new 25m indoor swimming pool and gym complex at Stamford School scheduled to open in Spring 2012.


The successful candidate will have a higher education qualifi cation in sports and recreation management, have spent at least two years as assistant manager in a commercial leisure centre and have lifeguarding and coaching qualifi cations.


Competitive salary and benefi ts.Shift pattern will include evening and weekend working from Summer 2012.

Candidates must have evidence of educational competence i.e. GCSE, or equivalent, Maths and English at Grade C or above & have one or more out of NVQ II Gym instructor, Exercise to Music and/or a Level 2 Coaching Award (or equivalent qualifi cations).


Hours of work are an average 36_ per week working a rotational shift pattern (operational hours range between 5.30am and 11 pm seven days a week).

Lifeguard


£15,001 per annum (plus £3,405.60, additional shift allowance)


A motivated and qualifi ed lifeguard is required to join an effective team of sports staff, who provide services at a 25 metre, eight lane swimming pool.


Duties will mainly involve supervising the pool, advising customers about safety, making water rescues, and putting out and taking down pool equipment. A current RLSS Lifeguard qualifi cation is essential. Hours of work are an average 36_ per week, Monday to Sunday, with a six week rotating shift pattern operated between the hours of 5.30am and 11 pm. It is a condition of this post that satisfactory Enhanced disclosure is obtained from the Criminal Records Bureau.
