All manufacturers will tell you that there are good margins on their product but it really is true with the R1. There is a low minimum order so retailers won’t get bogged down with a large amount of stock either.

Stewart’s approach appears to be paying dividends. With 120 accounts already running in the UK, the brand has ambitious plans to expand to 400 by 2017. This has been achieved by making all trolleys in-house, and with no third party distributor pushing sales. Controlling manufacturing and IP is vital to this ethos; if a golfer wants a trolley that looks & works like a Stewart, it has to be a Stewart. It is an ambitious target, but if Stewart continue to put product development at the top of their agenda and with innovations such as the X9 Follow and the R1 Push, you wouldn’t bet against them.
