KI SUPPLY 700 TORSION ON THE GO! NESTING CHAIRS TO LONDON METROPOLITAN

As part of a refurbishment for the Faculty of Business and Law, the client brief was to uplift the current tablet chair specification for the classrooms, calling for something more professional and corporate. Paul Durbridge of London Metropolitan University, working with Emergent Crown, found the perfect solution in KI’s Torsion on the Go! nesting chairs with their generously sized folding tablet arms. The faculty’s rich red colour scheme was

mirrored in the bold red upholstery of the chair’s seat and back, while the chrome and black of the chair frame was complemented

with grey flooring and details. Paul Durbidge, Space Planning

and Relocations Manager at London Metropolitan University said: “The KI Torsion on the Go! product looks the part. The chrome and black frame has that corporate look. The size of the chair is bigger than the standard product we previously used in our classrooms, making it more comfortable, and the slight reclining mechanism for the back adds to the comfort. The size and mechanism

of the tablet was unique to the KI product when compared to others; some had similar sized tablets, some had similar folding mechanisms. Only the KI product brought it all together and ensured that the finishing and styling looked professional.” Torsion on the Go! Seating from

KI, designed by Giancarlo Pireti, is an innovative, mobile, nesting, flex-back chair which addresses movable seating requirements for teaming, training, and informal conferencing – great for impromptu group work in educational environments. With a unique large folding and nesting

tablet arm, ingenious flip-up seats and castors, the chairs can nest together for compact "out-of-the-way" storage. Torsion on the Go! is an intelligent approach to the requirements of multi-purpose learning environments. Exceptional comfort is provided by a smooth back articulation created by a unique patented torsion spring mechanism. KI is a global provider of workplace and

educational furniture that designs and manufactures locally and offers good value, flexibility and design excellence. UB
