World Travel Leaders World Travel Leaders at WTM

WTM will be hosting a brand new session this year to celebrate its 35th event – the World Travel Leaders at WTM.

The event will take place on Wednesday 5 November and will celebrate the industry’s achievements during WTM’s lifetime and predict how holidaymakers will travel in the future.

A high-level panel, including Chief Commercial Officer at British Airways, Drew Crawley, TUI Deputy Chief Executive, Johan Lundgren, Hilton Worldwide, Senior Vice President and Global Head of Digital, Geraldine Calpin and Carlson Wagonlit, Senior Director, Solutions Group EMEA, will debate how travel will look over the coming years, focusing on the European inbound and outbound industries, both leisure and corporate. They will look at how technology will influence the industry, how distribution will change and where the next emerging destinations and source markets will be.

Organised by WTM & Gisby East World Travel Leaders Awards

Following on from the panel session will be the World Travel Leaders Awards ceremony (formerly WTM Global Awards) which recognise individuals and organisations that have contributed the most to the global travel and tourism industry over the lifetime of WTM.

The 12 awards are shortlisted by WTM’s leading media partners, with the winners chosen by an elite judging panel of senior industry leaders.
