Trapping Worms Most plants grow their leaves above the ground. In Brazil, one plant grows some of its leaves under the ground. T is plant eats meat, too. Here’s how. T e plant’s leaves grow in the sandy


soil. Each leaf is the size of a pinhead. Each is sticky. Each is bad news for the tiny worms that move through the soil. If one touches a leaf, it gets stuck. T e leaf digests the worm.


This sundew has two kinds of leaves that work together to catch prey.
