investments beginning to pay dividends in the way of fewer and shorter-term outages, less call-back and overtime hours for our crews, and in some cases, even less physical damage to the system during Oklahoma’s routine storms.

Although we have seen measured

improvements in those areas, we are far from satisfied. We are continuing to push ourselves to look for every opportunity to improve in all areas. We are focusing right now on expanding and improving our communications with you. As is true in any successful enterprise, nothing is more important than effective two-way communication. Te World-Wide Web and the newer social media tools present us with great opportunity to communicate with you at a level of effectiveness and convenience we couldn’t have even imagined just a few short years ago.

NFEC established its website, www.

nfecoop.com, over 10 years ago to provide easy access to information about the Cooperative to current and prospective members. Today, we are working on transformation of that same website to make it more of an interactive tool you can use 24-hours a day, not only for information, but to conduct your business with us at your complete convenience. We have experimented with Facebook and already have approximately 300 followers. We will refine and expand use of that and similar tools in the coming months for your convenience, as well. For those of us who are still a little

“technology-challenged”, we are excited to let you know we are upgrading our monthly

bill statements from the old traditional billing cards. We will be introducing a new 8½” x 11” letter format bill that will provide you with more information, including your most recent 12-month usage history. We will also have space to provide you timely, important information and updates about your Cooperative. Watch for the new bill statements later this year. As always, we welcome your thoughts and ideas on how we can better serve you. “Owned by those we serve” is more than just a motto, it is the foundation on which we operate every day. We not only want your input, we depend on it. Together we are better and stronger than we are individually. It is what makes the “Cooperative difference”. I want to challenge you to become actively involved in the progress of your Cooperative. If you’ve never attended an Annual

Meeting before, please make plans to join us at NFEC’s 74th
