Face & Body

Last year STYLEetc partnered with Castlefield Clinic‘s annual Face and Body campaign. Castlefield Clinic are a cosmetic surgery and spa based in Manchester. Now entering their 22nd year of business, they continue to spread smiles across Manchester and help their customers achieve confidence.

The competition searches for two winners who embody style on the outside and beauty within. With an exclusive STYLEetc photo shoot as part of the prize the competition was high!

We introduce winners Jo and Jamie modelling retro-glam with a modern edge...

q & A Josephine Teasdale, 23 How did you hear about Face and Body?

A friend of mine heard about the competition and encouraged me to enter. What did you enjoy the most about the photo shoot?

I had a fantastic day trying on lots of things – it’s been really good fun. I loved the Vivienne Westwood top. I adore her as a designer, because she truly knows what women want and how to work with a woman’s figure. (See Jo in Vivienne Westwood on the next page).

Can you describe your personal style?

I like all things really. When it comes to daywear, I like to keep it casual and comfortable, but still quirky. In the evening I try to vamp it up a bit more and make an effort. I like clothes that are put together well with a bit of thought process behind them, but that are still comfortable.

Who and what inspires you?

I’m currently studying textile design at the University of Manchester and I take a lot of inspiration from music and art. I especially enjoy going to live music shows. Fashion-wise I am a big fan of the young models like Lindsey Wixson and

Daisy Lowe. What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

I love anything fashion and art related. I visit lots of exhibitions and enjoy studying art in all its forms. I have also recently begun to take an interest in architecture and would like to learn

more about it.

A big passion of mine is to go to new cities. Coming from Sheffield, Manchester is still new to me so I enjoy exploring and finding new places to go to. Manchester is great because you only have to turn around the corner and you will see something new. It’s always interesting!

What did you think when you found out a STYLEetc photo shoot would be a part of your prize?

~ Jamie Hull, 23

It was quite a coincidence as I have been modelling since I was about 12 years old, so I thought it would be great fun to participate in the competition and a perfect opportunity to meet new people and get

more experience in this industry. How do you like to dress?

When I go out my style is a bit like André 3000 – sophisticated, with pocket squares and smart detail.

What do you think the future holds for yourself and modelling?

Having worked as a model for so many years, with some of the biggest brands including Calvin Klein, I have decided to open up my very own modelling agency. It’s called Vanita and is a new project of mine, but I have very big plans for it.

What are your dreams for your business?

Being based in Manchester, I want to grow my business and hope to see it expand to become the best agency in the north- west. Longer term, I would love to see our models walk at the major fashion shows in

London, New York, Milan and Paris.

As for myself, I plan to continue modelling and would love to secure contracts with brands like DKNY and Dolce & Gabbana one day, because I want to be that guy on the billboard.
