The ability to have this level of control is not only enviable, it enables successful eliminations in tightly contested areas. I would encourage all young hockey players to spend between 5 and 10 minutes practicing these skills up to 4 times in a week. You will be surprised how much you will improve after only four weeks of this level of repetition. Just imagine being able to challenge Katelyn Falgowski or Lauren Crandall in and around their defensive circle!
