The RyanWhiteHIV/AIDS Program, funded under the federal RyanWhite HIV/AIDSTreatmentModernization Act,helps low-income peoplewith HIVwho have little or no insurance access formedical care. For information,go to http://hab.hrsa.gov/.


RyanWhite Part A funds services in theMetro Atlanta area including Barrow, Bartow,Carroll,Cherokee,Clayton,Cobb,Coweta,DeKalb,Douglas,Fayette,Forsyth, Fulton,Gwinnett,Henry,Newton,Paulding,Pickens,Rockdale,Spalding,andWalton. Services includemedical care,medications, casemanagement,dental care,mental health counseling, substance abuse treatment,and support services. RyanWhite Part B funds services throughout Georgia. Part B supports ambulatory care,dental services,medications,medical casemanagement,and support services such as emergency financial assistance,housing assistance, translation services,andmore. RyanWhite Part C supports outpatient HIV early intervention services and ambulatory care. Grants are awarded directly to approximately 15 agencies statewide. Formore information,go to http://hab.hrsa.gov/.


RyanWhite Part F supports the AIDS Education and Training Center Program (including SEATEC, the publisher of Key Contacts),Dental Programs,and Special Projects of National Significance (SPNS).


The AIDSDrug Assistance Program(ADAP) is a state-administered programthat provides HIVmedications to low-income individualswho have little or no coverage fromprivate or third-party insurance. An individualmust apply in person for ADAP services and an applicationmust be completed during a face-to-face interview at a designated ADAP/HICP enrollment site. The Health Insurance Continuation Program(HICP) assists eligible personswith HIVwho are unable to pay their health insurance premiums. This special program pays amaximummonthly health insurance premiumof $1,100,whichmay include a spouse and children on a family health insurance plan,aswell as dental and vision. HICP services are available to all eligible residents of Georgiawhomeet the criteria for enrollment.
