Qualifications Portfolio Occupational Health and Safety SVQs & NVQs


The Occupational Health & Safety qualifications are offered at levels 3-5. These qualifications should take around 6-12 months to complete & are completely work based. The qualifications have been developed for a broad range of individuals. They are relevant to individuals working with hazards and risks of a straightforward nature to individuals holding a position which involves the application of knowledge and skills in a broad range of complex, technical or professional work activities with personal responsibility and autonomy.


These Qualifications can lead to membership of the Institute of Safety and Health (IOSH), which is internationally recognised.


Construction SVQs & NVQs


The Construction qualifications are offered at levels 2-5. These qualifications are aimed at individuals from a wide variety of backgrounds. This can range from those at technician/operative level to senior management working in relevant construction occupations.


Level 2 can lead to the CSCS Card (Skilled Worker card) Level 3 can lead to the Gold CSCS Card (Supervisor card)


Levels 4 & 5 can lead to the Black CSCS Card (Manager card)


Qualifications can also lead to Professional Membership of the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) which is internationally recognised. These qualifications are work based and should take around 6-12 months to complete.
