MISSION STATEMENT


The British Soft Drinks Association is the national trade association representing the interests of producers of soft drinks, including carbonated drinks, still and dilutable drinks, fruit juices and bottled waters. BSDA is an independent organisation with offices in central London, employing a full time professional staff. Membership at present includes around 90% of the manufacturers, factors and franchisors of Britain’s soft drinks.

A) To assist Members of the Association ("Members") in maintaining the highest standards of quality and hygiene. B) To promote the adherence of Members to ethical, professional and legal practices.


C) To recruit organisations from within the European Drinking Water Industry (”the Industry”) as Members adhering to the standards and pursuing the objectives of the Association. D) To facilitate the exchange of technical, scientific and regulatory information between Industry members and related bodies.


E) To serve as the authoritative source for all information concerning the Industry in the Territory.


F) To work with Government Agencies and regulatory bodies whose regulations and standards affect the Industry. G) To co-operate and discuss areas of mutual interest with other industries, organisations and associations.

NIVO was established in 1988 by like minded, entrepreneurial business people. It is a Vending buying group with over 290 Vending members and over 90 Supply Partners, aiming to secure the best possible deal in the marketplace for its Members.


The combined Vending sales through NIVO are worth over £51 million per year.

Regular meetings are held with all the Vending Supply Partners to discuss business performance, arrange promotional activity and seek innovation. In addition, these meetings help set objectives and strategy to ensure both Vending Supply Partners and the Membership can maximize on the opportunities that exist and which can be jointly enjoyed. As part of this process, NIVO undertakes regular analysis of Vending purchasing patterns and Vending market data to enable all parties to fully understand the needs of the consumer.


NIVO endeavours to ensure that maximum discounts are achieved, based upon overall group purchases. These discounts take the form of either off-invoice discounts or retrospective rebates. In the case of the latter, NIVO accepts rebate schemes on behalf of the Members which it administers from it’s head office in Leeds.
