Dear Friends, Thank you for considering Wilderness Tours in your search for adventure. Mine began decades ago as a student after reading the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Experiencing whitewater for the first time, I realized I wanted to share that magic with friends and family. That desire led me to the Ottawa River and the start of Wilderness Tours.

From humble beginnings, WT grew into Canada’s top adventure company. We pioneered the runs, named the rapids, set the standard and most importantly, over time, placed over 5,000 acres into the WT Land Trust, protecting the Ottawa River for ages to come. You can help by participating in our programs. Every spare dollar adds to the trust.

We really owe our success to our group organizers who, like us, wanted to share the magic with their friends and family. To reward and recognize their efforts, we started the #1 Club. It is bittersweet for us to recognize long time #1 Club Members, Jack West and Terry Stevens who are retiring from their role of group organizing after 30 years. They have passed the “paddle” to Joe McNamara who will be leading the group to WT on the weekend of July 22-24 dressed as Cops and Robbers. Join them for one of the best weekends of the summer. Thank you, guys!

Joanne and I are pleased to present to you this year’s program starting with the magnificent Ottawa River and Adventure Based Learning bringing me full circle to my roots almost 40 years ago. Please review our offerings and let us “Share the Magic” with you.
