Seddons carries it off
In association with Honda, Seddons manufactures the 500kg-capacity TD500 Hi-Lift tracked dumper and the TD650
standard tip machine that can accept a 650kg payload. The company also offers the HP500 Honda Power Carrier, available with or without a 500kg-capacity load bed. Seddons’ Sales & Marketing Director, Phil Winnington, reports that the HP500 has also been selected to power the all-new Micro Rock Crusher from Camon. Both versions of the HP500 have hydrostatic drive for smooth operation and
can climb 15° slopes with a 250kg load. Dead man’s clutch handles are incorporated for operator safety, and the machine fits through a standard doorway.

The new S800tx mini skid steer loader from Vermeer UK is the big brother to the existing S600tx. Fitted with a Kubota 35hp diesel engine, it has a universal front loading plate to enable quick changes between a wide range of attachments for construction and grounds care tasks. It comes with a standard bucket which can lift more than 1 tonne and has a
dump height of over 213cm. A single
joystick controls forward and reverse motion and turning, and temporary
lighting or other accessories can be powered from a 12V auxiliary power point. The machine is 103cm wide and exerts a ground pressure of only 3.9psi.

Merlo goes compact
Merlo’s new Ultra-Compact P 25.6
telescopic handler is designed for working in narrow or confined spaces that cannot be accessed easily by conventional telescopic handlers. The machine measures only 1.8m wide and is less than 2m, but it has a lift capacity of up to 2.5 tonnes. Despite its compact footprint, it has the same 995mm-wide cab as other Merlo telehandlers, and it incorporates permanent four-wheel drive, all-wheel steer and is designed for good ground clearance. Maximum travel speed is 36km/h.
