• The “Campaign Insider” newsletter begins as a weekly fax publication serving campaign professionals.

• Ron Faucheux sells the magazine, newsletter and seminar business to Congressional Quarterly. •

• Seminar at MGM Grand Las Vegas kicks off with an earthquake.

• Votenet Solutions
buys Campaigns & Elections.

• Political World Communications acquires the magazine from Votenet.

• Campaigns & Elections becomes Politics magazine.
