Most recent publication “Psychotherapy and the Treatment of Cancer Patients – Bearing Cancer in Mind” Routledge, 2005. Based on 15 years of working with severely traumatised, normal people with cancer, who were referred to me because they were experiencing unendurable pain which was persisting despite all measures taken. The physiological mechanism producing the pain was often undiscovered, despite extensive investigations, but was indisputedly present. This experience is unique to myself and not then dealt with in the usual practice of a psychiatrist.
