Maintenance company thinks outside of the box to provide superior service

oreno & Associates, a full-service building maintenance company based in Sunnyvale, California, is always looking to make the biggest and most impactful difference in their
industry. Serving the Santa Clara Valley and surrounding Bay Area, the business was founded in May of 1993 by current CEO, J. Ernesto Moreno, who has had a hand in the mainte- nance industry for over 30 years. Ernesto, with the support of his wife Stacie and their four children, is hands on with the day-to-day operations. “Moreno” is a close-knit team, led by President and CFO Stacy Hacker, who first came on board the day the company opened.
The Moreno team is very passionate about this industry and understands recent advances. Ernesto explains, “It’s obvious that the custodial building maintenance industry is no longer just a mop and bucket brigade where you slop things around and change the toilet paper. We’ve moved to a place where our efforts can make a significant difference in the long-term health of both the building itself and for the building occupants.”
Moreno & Associates has moved squarely into this new realm, whether in the custodial maintenance, painting or general building services aspects of their business. As an example, the company has embraced the latest trends in the cleaning, painting and coatings industry, especially when it comes to utilizing a combination of antimicrobial coatings
and bio-based cleaning and disinfecting products. Phil Hacker is the Division Director of Paint and Coatings and takes a crucial role in the vision of that division. Phil notes, “We have taken the steps to become certified installers and experts in the application of several state-of-the-art coatings and chemicals we deliver to our clients.” To this end, Moreno & Associates distributes and installs environmental coatings from SD Labs and bio-based cleaning products by BioClean. Understanding that an individual maintenance worker cannot remove every germ and microbe from every surface in a facility every day, the company encourages their client base to protect their environment with these breakthrough coat- ings and cleaning products.
