A mysterious and wavy cloud forms. Cloud experts say it may be a new kind of cloud.

A Cloud Mystery

I learned of another mysterious cloud when someone sent me a photo of a cloud unlike any I’d ever seen. It looked like the sea on a rough day. T e cloud swirled in crazy, wavy ways. Usually, I can identify a cloud just by looking at it. T is one stumped me. I was so puzzled, I wondered if it might be a new kind of cloud. Many cloud scientists say yes and are

studying how it forms. One theory is that it starts as a sky full of those bubble clouds. T en winds blowing at diff erent speeds rip through the clouds. T e winds stir them up, creating wild waves in the sky. Clouds like these are just one reason why I

keep my eyes on the sky. From fluff y clouds to angry swirling clouds, I never know what I’ll see. I do know one thing. As land, water, and air interact, they create some of our world’s most amazing sights. For me, any cloudy day is a bright day.
