Over the last few years, the word “foundry” has
taken on exciting meanings. It means creativity and new ideas, and giving birth to the future.
A prospective franchise in Major League Soccer is taking that concept to a whole different level. Te group trying to bring an MLS team to St.
Louis is calling its nascent club Foundry St. Louis. And the mission statement on its website leaves no doubt what it’s trying to get across: We Are A Foundry For Our People
Forged in the flames of hard work. Illuminated by the hopes of our families and fans. Cast by the tenacity of a community united. Like our fair city, Foundry’s pride is steeled by integrity. We’re not here out of privilege.
We’re one for the many. And we root for our supporters so we can rise together.
