O’Fallon Casting Breaks Ground on Expansion O’Fallon Casting (O’Fallon, Mis-
souri) recently broke ground on a 25,000 sq.-ft. expansion, which will eventually bring the total size of the facility to 75,000 sq. ft. Construction
will take approximately 12-16 months and will work around O’Fallon’s schedule so the plant will maintain service and delivery. T e main focus of the expansion is
to streamline product fl ow and mod- ernize the casting clean-up and pre- inspection areas. T e additions include a new high-capacity oven, which will almost double O’Fallon’s current heat treating capacity. A conveyor system will move cast shells directly from the metalcasting facility to the casting cleanup area, reducing handling and the possibility of handling damage. Newly designed automatic water-
wash machines to remove a majority of the ceramic shell in one pass are also ar- riving, as is increased warehouse space.

Conducts Pumpkin Pour T e University of Wisconsin-Plat-
teville conducted its annual Pumpkin Pour on October 21. Alumni, students and professors were in attendance. T e Foundry Educational Foun-
dation (FEF) was also involved with the Key professor endowment, which is currently at $1.8 million and has a target to reach $2 million. T e endowment will ensure that
the education of current and future students at UW-Platteville can include a metalcasting curriculum. UW-Platteville professor Kyle
