BOAT REPORT
The windscreen could do with a small
extension to divert breeze over the skipper’s head
Considering its size, the proportions of
the 75 are absolutely spot on. It’s a handsome boat
Picking things for the yard to improve on is like critiquing the tone of Adele’s voice
the combination is so refi ned, it doesn’t really matter. Handling is pretty ponderous but then it’s sort of supposed to be; the steering, though, is masterful. It’s beautifully weighted and direct with only a handful of turns needed to spin from lock to lock. The whole time, the Princess emblem stays stubbornly upright within the steering wheel hub, Rolls-Royce style.
VERDICT Here we have a boat with four stunning, spacious ensuite cabins, a spellbinding saloon, huge fl ybridge, fantastic engineroom, sumptuous design and detailing and
THE HELM VIEW
Please Princess, upgrade these
fl imsy air vents!
You sit nice and high at the helm so the
view forward is excellent
barnstorming performance. Picking things for the yard to improve on is like critiquing the tone of Adele’s voice. If the list boils down to replacing some tacky air vents on the lower helm and extending the wind defl ector on the upper helm because it gets a bit blowy at speed, listen out for a barrel bottom being scraped. The 75 Motor Yacht is an absolute
masterpiece, a thoroughly worthy successor to the 72 and one of the best that Princess has ever made. If it were a hotel, it would have six stars over the front door. Contact See Princess website for dealers. Web:

Compare the amount of glass in the saloon
of the 75 to the previous 72 and you can see why there is quite so much natural light making its way into the main deck
Having the throttles out on a plinth puts
them within easy reach of the helm seat
