At the METSTRADE 2016 Show you can also enjoy Material Xperience on Tour on 15th, 16th and 17th November, with the theme of “Lightweight Miracles”. This exhibition is entirely dedicated to materials for yacht building.
Today’s yachting industry faces a number of challenges. The recyclability of existing abandoned (GRP) boats is high on the agenda, and therefore the designing and building of new durable boats. How far is the development of bio-based composites for yacht building? What new lightweight materials are suitable for the finishing? What benefit can be achieved with 3D printing? And what materials radiate with luxury and elegance? This exhibition shows the materials that are a source of inspiration for both the designer and the builder of the yacht.
Materia, will be present this year for the fourth time at the METSTRADE Show (Marine Equipment Trade Show) with the travelling exhibition, Material Xperience On Tour. As part of the Construction Material Pavilion (CMP), Materia’s partners and experts from around the world will showcase innovative materials related to the maritime industry. The goal is to inspire marine architects, designers and shipbuilders with innovative and experimental materials that can be used or function as source of inspiration in boat and yacht building.
Materia will be exhibiting around 125 innovative materials at METSTRADE 2016. Experts from Materia’s network in the maritime sector carefully selected each material. Be inspired and come to Material Xperience on Tour in the Elicium!
