WHAT’S HAPPENING News Edited by Sarah Coxson
Because we go to press a month before publication date there are occasionally announcements made after copy date about things which will have passed by the time the next issue is published. If you have urgent news about something happening in the current month, we have a Facebook Page at
www.facebook.com/frootsmag where you can post it.
FESTIVALS & EVENTS Just as we went to press,
Womad announced the first batch of artists for this year’s bill at Charlton Park, Wiltshire on 24th – 26th July. And we’re very chuffed to see that they include the very fabulous Orchestre Tout Pouissant Marcel Duchamp who we confidently predict will be a massive hit. Also included: Bellowhead, Tinariwen, Aurelio, Shantel & Bucovina, De La Soul, Kathakali, Molotov Jukebox, Orange Blossom 47, L’Hijâz’Car, Sona Jobarteh, Acholi Machon, Banda Magda, Dona Oneta, Eska and lots more. Keep your eyes peeled on the growing bill at
